20 minute Walk & Strength Workout with Bands
This walking and strength workout includes exercises with resistance bands that will strengthen your cardiovascular system and build muscle. There are three sets of four walking exercises, each 30 seconds with 20 seconds of rest in between and two sets of four strength exercises that work your upper and lower body and core. There are about 1600 steps in this workout, more or less depending on your tempo.
Here are the walking exercises:
✅ 3 Step Walk Forward and Back
✅ March with knee and opposite arm up
✅ Grapevine or Step, Step Touch
✅ Air skiing!
Here are the strength exercises:
✅ Squat
✅ Rows
✅ Lateral punches
✅ Bicep curl
If you want to estimate the amount of calories burned, MyFitnessPal (https://bit.ly/2V9CR51) has a calculator where you can input your weight and the type of exercise. In this case, input "walking" for 14 minutes and then "strength training" for about 8 minutes.
If you need resistance bands, my mom and I use two kinds in this video that can be found on Amazon:
1) Strappy Bands - https://amzn.to/3eUxXP0
2) Tube Bands with handles - https://amzn.to/3eZzX8D
