Our mission is to transform lives

It’s never too late to start exercising and making healthy choices to stay strong, mobile, and independent. Say yes 2 your next steps to get healthier and stronger!

It started with an idea...

When the pandemic hit in 2020, April wanted to help seniors stay active during the shutdown in the comfort and safety of their homes. Wanting to reach as many people as possible, she started creating free video workouts on YouTube with her then 80-year-old mom. Both are humbled and grateful that they are helping so many — yes2next videos have been viewed more than 60 million times with more than 500,000 subscribers.

Fitness has been a priority in April’s life since her teens. She is a certified personal trainer with Senior Fitness, Functional Training, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist certifications from the American Council on Exercise, and The Biomechanics Method for Corrective Exercise. Now at 61, she is embracing aging and is passionate about inspiring people of all ages to say yes to their next steps to getting healthier and making fitness a lifestyle.

Meet April

After a 30-year full-time corporate career, I followed my passion and became a personal trainer. When the pandemic hit and gyms closed in 2020, I had the idea to start making fitness videos for older adults to help them stay active. I’m thankful my mom agreed to join me!

My initial goal was to help just one person. I’m so inspired yes2next is now helping thousands — of all ages — around the world.

Meet Aiko

I’m 85-years-old and believe that movement benefits my body and brain. I didn’t know what I was getting into when April asked me to participate in yes2next videos. I thought I was just helping her and have been humbled I can inspire so many to keep moving.

Meet Mochi

I’m a big ball of fur and make appearances in yes2next videos from time to time, sharing my joie de vive! I like talking a lot and modeling how to relax and stretch. I was meant to be on the team — yes2next was born in the same month as me -- May 2020!

Keep Moving

This is our mantra. It’s never too late to start exercising and making healthy choices. As we age, we lose muscle and bone density decreases which can make us vulnerable to injuries. So say yes 2 your next steps to get stronger and healthier!

On February 1st last year I was at my doctor’s with severe blood pressure. I went home and googled exercise for seniors and up you popped. A year later I have gone from a 10 minute workout to intermediate. I also walk everyday. My blood pressure this morning is normal and I have lost nearly 2 stone. I am now trying to gain more strength. At 72 years old I can't thank you ladies enough. I am a different woman and you have probably saved my life.

A little over a month ago I found your videos on YouTube. THANK YOU soooo much. I’m 57 years old and my Mom is 84 years old. Watching the two of you is so much fun, and we recognize the love you have for each other. We love your fur baby that visits often as well. I have not missed one day in over a month, and your excellent videos have helped me not injure myself so I have been able to stay consistent. I’m seeing amazing results and feeling stronger. I love it.

It always makes me smile and I wanted you to know how thankful I am. You have made such a difference in my life.

I’m 27, I’ve had my 4th baby just shy of 3 months ago… that pregnancy had me on bed rest, then on crutches and I am slowly gaining some movement now. I know your exercises are aimed at seniors, but I find that these are the only ones I can keep up with and actually achieve doing without getting discouraged! Thank you so much for these! I’m in the road to recovery!

Oh my GOODNESS!! I can not begin to tell you how much your videos on YouTube have changed my life!!! I hate exercising!!! I hate sweating. I hate being out of breath. And at 63 yrs old I got the news that I’m hypertensive.

I’m obese and I have Hashimotos. I knew I had to make some lifestyle changes or my lifestyle was going to kill me! Finding you on YouTube has been the best thing that has happened for me!!! And it’s really helped my mental and physical health, tremendously! I’ve lost 25 lbs (I still have a long way to go) and I’m no longer taking the Losartan for my blood pressure!
    I can’t thank you enough!!!

  • Sharon, 68

I an 68 and my husband is 69. He struggles Iwith joint pain, a bad back, shoulder aches, stiff hands from years of being a mailman. I looked for exercises that he would do that weren’t frustrating.

We started watching your YouTube channel. Now every night he says, “aren’t we going to do those exercises?”

We love exercising with you! Thank you!

  • Janet, 44

I have been following you beautiful ladies for a while now. I am 44 and at 234 lbs it's hard to find workouts that are doable and satisfying. You two are the best. I just introduced my daughter (15 years old) and she actually enjoys doing the workouts with me.

    Thank you!!!!
