DAY 7: New Year Challenge - Rest or Stretch

Day 7 of the 7-day New Year Challenge is dedicated to rest or gentle stretching. You deserve it! Congratulations on completing 150 minutes of cardio work and 2 strength sessions! You’re on your way to getting stronger!

Rest is an important part of any exercise program. It allows your muscles to recover and grow and helps prevent injury. We recommend taking at least one day of rest during a week. But listen to your body. If you need more time, take it.

On a rest day, you can do no exercise or do stretching or yoga. Stretching has many benefits including increased flexibility and relaxing your body.

If you could only do some or part of the Challenge workouts, no worries. The goal of this week was to introduce you to the goal of 150 minutes and 2 strength sessions. We’re here for you if you need help and time to build up to that goal — we offer more than 90 free videos ranging from 5 to 50 minutes to help you get there!
