This energizing exercise for seniors over 50 with personal trainer April is at an intermediate level. Mom and Mochi sit this one out but opted to do one of our slower paced routines to build up to this one. 

HIIT workouts feature alternating periods of higher intensity exercise with lower intensity exercise to elevate and then lower your heart rate. Studies have shown that HIIT exercise burns more calories than steady state routines. Also, you end up burning more calories for 24 hours or so after a workout compared to if you had not exercised at all.

This energizing session features 5 exercises in pyramid rounds of 20 seconds, 40 seconds, 60 seconds, and then back down to 40 seconds and 20 seconds.
